Learn the art of Encaustics!

Come join the fun of encaustic art learning!  Includes all materials; $150 / day long class.  Contact: director@baccbigfork.org to sign up.  6 participants per class.

This is a unique creative experience for adults! Each participant will complete two encaustic pieces on birch panels.  Again, all materials will be provided.  During the class, we will discuss the many options fo getting started with encaustics and the very important best practices!  You will learn how to prepare birch panels for painting, fuse layers, inlay other materials, carve the wax and use pigment sticks.  All leves of encaustic learners are welcome.  This means if you are trying this for the first time, you will be fine-no experience is needed!

Some other things to note:  Please bring lunch.  We will have lemon water and tea.  There will be an hour break for lunch and will we'll start back to work right at 1:00 p.m..To take notes, bring a notebook or journeal. This process can be messy so bring an apron or wear clothes you don't mind 'getting messy!'
